Seiyo Moss Garden’s moss and moss terrarium materials are available for international shipping.
Here is how to shop for international shipping of our moss materials.
About international shipping of moss
Since moss is a plant, it needs to go through plant quarantine procedures in Japan before it can be shipped overseas.
Also, depending on the destination country, you may need to apply for an import permit in advance.
About the phytosanitary certificate in Japan
In many countries, shipments can be made by obtaining and attaching a Japanese phytosanitary certificate.
Moss is shipped as a live plant, so if you ship it without a Phytosanitary Certificate, there is a very high possibility that it will be discarded during the quarantine period. If you do not issue a phytosanitary certificate, there is a very high possibility that your moss will be discarded during quarantine in your country.
Time required to complete the procedure for the phytosanitary certificate issued in Japan
For the first time
If you are importing moss for the first time, you will need to check the conditions under which your country imports the moss at your country’s Plant Protection Station. It takes a minimum of one week, usually about one month, to confirm the regulations of your country regarding the import of moss from Japan.
As soon as we confirm the conditions of the phytosanitary inspection related to the import of moss in your country, we will carry out the phytosanitary inspection within one week and ship the moss to your country.
For moss that has been imported in the past
From the second time onwards, if you are going to import a new kind of moss into your country, we will carry out a phytosanitary inspection in Japan within a week and we will be able to ship it immediately.
